Riddhi Siddhi Vrudhashram in Mira Road, Mumbai, Maharashtra, is a home for elderly people. Today we care for 42 residents aged 65 to 92. Some were abandoned by their families, some have outlived everyone they loved, and some could no longer afford to live alone with dignity.
They spent their lives raising children, building homes and serving society. Now, in the last chapter of their lives, they ask only for a meal, a roof and someone who cares.
Why We Need Your Help Now
Diwali is the festival of light, family and togetherness. For many of our residents it is also the hardest time of the year. The sound of crackers and the glow of diyas in other homes remind them of the families they once had.
Winter is also coming, and our costs are rising:
- Food: Three nutritious meals a day for 42 residents, including special diets for diabetic and heart patients
- Shelter: Rent and upkeep of the building, electricity, water, bedding and winter blankets
- Medicine & healthcare: Daily medicines for blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis and other age-related conditions, plus regular doctor visits and emergency hospital care
Our monthly running cost is about *₹3,50,000*, and we depend entirely on the kindness of donors like you.
Our Diwali Goal: ₹10,00,000
With your support, this money will:
- Provide food for all residents for 3 months
- Cover medicines and health check-ups for 3 months
- Buy winter blankets, sweaters and shawls for every resident
- Give our elders a Diwali with sweets, new clothes, diyas and togetherness

Every rupee you give goes directly to the care of our residents. We will share regular updates, photos and bills showing how your donation is used. All donations are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
